Project Brady Reveal: Two Renter-Friendly Home Offices

This creative couple asked us to transform not one but two renter-friendly home offices, and we knew it would be full of personality.

Meet Project Brady: a dual office design that proves you don’t need to own your home to make it feel uniquely yours. Her vibrant, feel-good space and his grounded, desert-inspired retreat each reflect the person who uses it.

The Challenge

Working from home had become the norm, but blank walls and makeshift desks didn’t support either client’s work. Instead, they needed two offices suited to two very different personalities.

However, the home is a rental, so nothing could be permanent. Every change had to be renter-friendly and leave no trace.

Before & After

Drag each slider to see how each renter-friendly home office changed.

Project Brady before: plain office with makeshift desks and bare white wallsProject Brady after: her office with blue accent wall, curved desk, and colorful rug
Project Brady before: empty spare room with a single desk chairProject Brady after: his office with dark green wall, walnut desk, and desert art
Project Brady before: blank corner with closed white closet doorsProject Brady after: hubby nook with yellow patterned wallpaper, neon sign, and velvet chair

Our Solution

So we designed two distinct yet cohesive workspaces. Each one has curated textures, thoughtful details, and furniture that’s both functional and beautiful, all without a single permanent change.

Her Office: Color, Pattern, and Personality

A playful rug and lively wallpaper set a cheerful, creative tone. Meanwhile, neutral foundation pieces like a creamy curved desk and a sculptural wood bookcase keep the room polished. Statement art behind the desk also makes a Zoom-worthy backdrop.

Finally, charming wall sconces add a warm, whimsical glow. The result feels joyful without being overwhelming.

The “Hubby Nook”

Our favorite detail? A cozy “hubby nook” tucked into the corner of her office. It’s the perfect spot for him to relax or chat while she works, proof that even small corners can make a big impact.

His Office: A Calm, Desert-Inspired Retreat

In contrast, his office is grounded, minimal, and calm. A dark green accent wall sets a rich, earthy tone. Then warm walnut furniture with clean lines brings natural texture. To keep things low-maintenance, we styled the room with faux plants that offer all the life and none of the upkeep.

Finishing Touches

To complete both rooms, we layered in artwork that reflects their personalities and curated accessories that add warmth without clutter.

The Result: A Renter-Friendly Home Office for Each of Them

In the end, Project Brady became two renter-friendly home offices that feel intentional, personal, and connected. Each room reflects the person who uses it, while still fitting the rest of the home. Above all, it proves that thoughtful design doesn’t need a renovation.

“Working with ASR Design Studio was such a fun and seamless experience. They truly understood our vision and brought it to life in a way that felt even better than we imagined. Every detail was thoughtful, personal, and beautifully executed. Our home feels more like us than ever before. We couldn’t be happier!”
