A workspace that supports creativity, organization, and a little bit of botanical calm
A home office has to do a lot of jobs at once: host video calls, store reference materials, hold inspiration boards, and still feel like a genuinely good place to spend the day. This was a furnishing and styling project for an existing space — built around organization, warmth, and the kind of calm that makes long work sessions feel less like a grind.
We layered a soft palm-leaf wallpaper, rich wood tones, and a deep teal velvet drapery to bring quiet sophistication to a space that also needed to function as serious working storage.
The desk sits at the heart of the room — a clean, floating white oak wood surface with simplicity at its core, so it never competes with the wallpaper or the textiles around it. We chose a soft, botanical wallpaper in warm beige tones to bring texture and life into the space without overwhelming it, and layered in fresh flowers as a small daily ritual that makes the desk feel cared for, not just functional.
Storage was the real design challenge here, and we solved it with a custom built-in cabinet wall in a deep, saturated blue/green — a striking contrast against the soft wallpaper that also keeps the entire room feeling organized at a glance. Open shelving above holds labeled sample boxes and material swatches, all coordinated in a clean, consistent system that turns reference materials into part of the decor rather than clutter.
At the window, we used TWOPAGES drapery in a deep teal velvet anchors the room with real depth and richness — paired with a simple white motorized Roman shade underneath for everyday light control. The fabric catches light beautifully throughout the day, and the color grounds the lighter palette of the wallpaper and cabinetry without ever feeling heavy.
