Welcome to Project Duncan before and after. This kitchen renovation is where clean lines, natural textures, and bold finishes come together in perfect balance. The original space lacked warmth, light, and personality. Our mission was to create a functional, welcoming kitchen that feels refined yet relaxed, true to the charm of Southern California living.
We started by replacing the outdated cabinetry with custom units in a rich, dark wood. This immediately grounded the space and added a sense of quiet luxury. Built-in lighting under the cabinets brought both ambiance and functionality, where form meets function beautifully.
At the heart of the kitchen sits a stunning quartzite island. With its natural veining and expanded size, it’s now a multitasking centerpiece for storage, seating, and conversation. We paired it with a soft, shimmering backsplash that stops just above the uppers, offering texture without overpowering the design.
Ribbed glass fronts on select cabinets added vintage charm and visual interest, while smooth quartz countertops provided a clean, timeless contrast to the rich wood tones.
And because every detail matters, we even integrated custom dog bowls into the lower cabinetry. Thoughtful, practical, and totally seamless.
Project Duncan is a reminder that great design is equal parts beauty and intention, and this kitchen now has both in abundance.
