Meet Project San Anselmo, a refined living room transformation designed to feel warm, welcoming, and effortlessly stylish. It needed to be equal parts cozy retreat and vibrant gathering space—masculine yet playful, open yet intimate.
Our clients wanted a design that honored the home’s Mid-Century roots while making room for everyday comfort and modern function. The result is a space that flows beautifully, with layered textures, rich materials, and clean lines that elevate the entire home.
To highlight the home’s architecture and add visual depth, we incorporated acoustic wood paneling. It brought texture, warmth, and an elevated tone to the living spaces. Clean lines, rich materials, and a muted, masculine palette grounded the home in sophistication without feeling heavy.
At the center of the dining space, we commissioned a custom walnut table with curved metal legs. It’s a bold focal point—blending timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design—and it captures the spirit of the project: elevated, intentional, and effortlessly cool.
We created a warm, functional welcome by adding a floating cabinet and bench—bringing in storage without visual bulk. A large mirror above the bench helped open up the space, while simple, curated styling kept things clean and intentional. It’s the perfect first impression: elevated, practical, and effortlessly inviting.
Throughout the home, furnishings and finishes were carefully selected to echo Mid-Century Modern values: organic materials, thoughtful silhouettes, and a seamless connection between indoors and out.
